It was fun. We walked and we talked. Dipped in the water and lay on the beach. Walked and talked. Took the chairlift down. Saw lots of construction work going on. The day most certainly had its moments. Such as when Christine solved the mystery of the missing two-dollar note. Oh my goodness that was funny. Then when we went on the chairlift, we were scared our slippers would fall off so we stuck our legs out in the air. Also, the operator at the chairlift was training some others so he was all proper and it was kinda strange. I had a good day with her. Next stop: Cottesloe beach and Adventure World Christine! Then we should try going down to Margaret River after the exams :]

Caught the bus back to Kent Vale after that. I waited for ten minutes for the SAS bus to come but it felt like a lot longer. Maya and I watched about five minutes of a whole lotta things before settling on John Tucker Must Die. It was soooo funny! I was mighty surprised by it. I'm kinda tired though. Being out in the sun and then watching a movie - a recipe for inducing sleep.

bed-time :]

Ok so I am rather bored right now. Muriel - be happy i am updating again!
It's strange to think that everyone's leaving MG. I still feel like everyone is in Sec 2 - don't laugh at me! Everyone's going to be going to differents JCs or going overseas. C'est assez bizarre pour moi. I mean - most people are going to ACJC but look at Deborah...and Nicole! Deborah's going to Melbourne. That's ok. I might end up going to Melbourne by the end of next year, or even Sydney. Nicole, though, is going all the way to AMERICA! To TEXAS of all places. She's leaving tomorrow night - practically midnight. I don't know when I'm going to her again cos she said she's only coming back in the summer. Not happy. I suppose I will have to cherish the times and memories I have until the next time I see her. I guess it's not like I won't get to talk to her.
Muriel and I went out for lunch with Nicole on her birthday. I was the first one there. Then Nicole and then the fashionably late Muriel. It was because of her dad that day ;). I got Nicole a balloon - it said Happy B'day and It's cake day. It was pretty cute, in my humble opinion that doesn't usually count for much. It was all orangey and pinkish. Nicole colours. Muriel approved of it so I was happy. We let Nicole decide where to eat - which was her absolute nightmare lol. We are such an indecisive threesome it's hilarious. Anyway, we ended up going to NYDC. Nicole actually decided! Hahaha...i was actually going to suggest it but wanted to wait for her. I had to let her endure some amount of misery even on her birthay ;). It was closed when we first went there so Nic and I pretty much walked back and forth talking about stuff I can't even remember. We contemplated sitting on the steps to NYDC or the road when Muriel arrived and NYDC opened. Now, we didn't exactly have lunch so to speak. We more had the dessert - three of them! And nachos. Muriel reckons Doritos are better though and I kinda agree. Or those nachos from school. They're pretty good too. One of the desserts had liquor courtesy of Nicole. Everything was really tasty! mudpies, cheesecake oh man food! Speaking of which, I have a craving for brunch bars right now. Hmmm
Anyway, we walked around Holland V. Looked for a present for Mu's present Wilder (right spelling?). We went to OUR store - Creative Dimensions. They still have lotsa pretty stuff there. Then Mu had to leave. POO.
Nicole convinced me to go to Trinity after. Service started unusually early at THREE. We got there early and listened to her ipod. JET! I love Rip it Up and Cold Hard Bitch. I wish I could go to Big Day Out next year. What a bummer. It's amazing how we both have practically the same taste in music. We both prefer evanesence's first album and love Jet. And like we both like listening to so many genres. Twas fun. She whinged about the Sec 3s and talked about other stuff. We talk a lot.
Co met us and we went inside. Not as late as usual. :) It was pretty good. They sang that new Reuben Morgan song and Still. The message was good too. I mean duh. Still brought back memories of sitting in the toilets at Kallang and praying before our final vs SC. Hannah and me. Capt and vice-capt. Wow. What a long time ago that was. I still can't believe we won that day. Hahaha.
It never ceases to amaze me how my life in Perth and Singapore are so removed from each other. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. I guess now, there's something that connects me to MG and Singapore in Christine being there. I think I'd feel less...awkward? not sure what the right word is...if both my seemingly separate lives were connected in some way. I guess if people in Singapore knew what life back in Australia is like or what I do...I don't know - SOMETHING. I guess it's kinda my fault since I don't always keep in touch with people. It's hard though. Sometimes I get really really really busy. Sometimes I get frustrated if I don't receive replies. It can get annoying to always be the one initiating contact. I mean how would you feel if you kept trying to call/email/keep in contact in other ways and the person never tried to...or doesn't even bother to reply when you try. How do you thing that feels? I guess sometimes it's hard to think of things to talk about as well. It really puts me off when people repeatedly ask me when I'm coming back. Perhaps that's why I didn't really tell anyone when I was coming back. No offence - but it really does get quite annoying. I mean we have to have more to talk about, right? Perhaps this can be one of my New Year's Resolutions - to keep in touch with people more. Perhaps I can try emailing everyone AT LEAST once a month. I'm not gonna keep it up if no one bothers to reply though. It's pretty hurtful. And I will try to reply as promptly as I possibly can. I apologise in advance if I take too long.
I think that's long enough for one post.
x

Happy New Year!

I went to see the fireworks at Marina Bay. My poor mum was falling asleep but she said the wait was worth it. They were so prettyful! There was gold, blue, red, green etc. There was a bit of lull in between the beginning and end but it was still really good. There was, however, no countdown which was slightly disappointing. It was kinda funny – everyone around us had slightly different times. They were all a couple of minutes apart so we couldn’t really tell when we’d entered 2007. It’s funny how such slight time differences can make such a difference. Anyway, my mum brought some very nice macadamia nut chocolates with her to celebrate the moment. They were very yummy – thanks mum! We then battled the crowds and walked in between cars on the main roads to get back to where we’d parked our car. I messaged everyone in the car on the way home. I had a really really good sleep that night.

We went to the temple the next morning. Boy was it packed. We were there for about an hour plus. We came home and had the prasadham (offerings from God) for lunch. The food was pretty oily so it didn't sit too well with my tummy. :(

Although New Year’s technically over, I’m still coming up with my resolutions. I think I’m going to have a lot of them. I have a lot of things I want to achieve this year. A LOT. I can’t help thinking about how big, how important this year is going to be. It’s going to have plenty of good times for sure as well though. I have to admit I have scared since it is pretty much crunch time. I’ve had a lot of time for reflection of the past three and a half weeks ( God! That’s all it’s been?! Feels like much longer!). Still, I can’t really gather my thoughts. I don’t want to deal with and remember a lot of it. It’s so frustrating how the bad memories always overshadow the goods ones. Not happy.

Oh well, let’s see how it goes. One step at a time. Time to go out now – yet again! :)

x

Ok so I'm gonna start this again.
